Join us on Sunday, April 13, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the corner of Central Ave and Main St by the Law Enforcement Memorial as we protest against Mayor Lily Wu's actions that have harmed our community!
Our objective is to demand change and hold Mayor Wu accountable for the many obvious issues that have come to light since assuming her position-- such as her treatment of the homeless, lack of support for Trans visibility and gaslighting when confronted about it, plans to convert the library into a police headquarters, attempts to shift power in our city, prioritization of the interests of the wealthy over those of low-income and marginalized communities, and her neglect and mistreatment of animals at the Wichita Animal Shelter.
We invite you to bring your own signs, chairs, snacks, sunscreen, and anything else you need to stay comfortable, as well as your passion for change. We will keep a megaphone handy and coolers with water bottles and light snacks (while supplies last) to keep you hydrated and well throughout the protest. To help you express your message, we'll also have art materials and posterboard available for building signs, so feel free to bring your creativity and ideas to life. Whether you're advocating for the rights of the homeless, the LGBTQ+ community, animals at the Wichita Animal Shelter, or any other marginalized group, we want to see your unique perspective and voice. Let's come together to demand a better future for our community and to hold our leaders accountable for their actions. #WichitaStrong #WeAreWichita
