About this Event

A Bragtown Juneteenth centers our beloved Bragtown and the legacy of the Stagville descendants that made it possible for the community we embrace today. Over the years, Bragtown has been overlooked as an integral part of Durham’s cultural legacy, but through community healing, joyful celebration and fellowship we seek to bring the community together around the proud history that we want to vision forward! Join us as we practice Sankofa -- gathering joy, power and wisdom from what has been for what will be.

Emceed by Commedian DWissh, join us for the 3rd annual Bragtown Juneteenth at Lakeview Park on Sunday, June 18th!

A Kids' Zone complete with age-appropriate bounce houses

This event will take place at 2:00 - 7:00 in Lakeview Park. Don't forget to bring your chairs and blankets to make yourself comfortable. We'll see you there!
