About this Event

Inspired in part by W.E.B. Du Bois's hand-drawn data infographics, A Blueprint of Us translates five years of community-centered research into a public, visual, sensory experience. The exhibition draws on BGP's original research data, and features new work commissioned from local artists and portraits by award-winning photographer Adrian Octavius Walker, who documented community members and research participants throughout BGP's data collection process.

Visitors will also be able to take part in a zine-making space within the exhibition,

where they can respond to the themes on view through writing, image-making, or visual reflection — creating a lasting artifact of their visit.

Cost of admission to the Griot Museum of Black History is $10 for adults. Tickets can be purchased at the main entrance.
