Join us for The Black Girl and Her Braids, a special parent–child, hands-on workshop celebrating Black hair, culture, and care. This interactive experience blends storytelling and skill-building in a warm, affirming space.
The workshop will begin with a live reading of A Black Girl and Her Braids by the author, followed by a guided braiding session where families will learn the basics of box braiding and cornrowing together.
This is a beginner-friendly workshop designed to encourage bonding, learning, and confidence around Black hair traditions.
