A benefit for Flagstaff Dark Skies Coalition with a portion of the proceeds going directly to this organization's continued mission of connecting people with the sky through all expressions of art to reveal the inspiration of the night and helping the next generation to be inspired to carry on the tradition and work it takes to keep Flagstaff a dark skies city.
About WinterHaven:
WinterHaven is a pop punk band formed in Flagstaff, Arizona, in 2018 by longtime friends Brendan, Colton, and Jack while still in high school. What began as local jam sessions and hometown shows quickly evolved into a full-fledged project driven by a shared passion for punk, emo, and alternative music. In early 2020, drummer Nick Schira joined the lineup, solidifying the band’s sound just before the release of their debut full-length album, Apparition.
Known for blending pop punk energy with elements of punk, emo, and alternative rock, WinterHaven has built a reputation for delivering an authentic and dynamic sound that resonates across genres and generations. Their music draws influence from the bands they grew up listening to while carving out a style uniquely their own. As vocalist Jack explains, “We just play music we love to listen to.”

About Flagstaff Dark Skies Coalition:
FDSC envisions a world in which everyone, regardless of socioeconomic status, can see the Milky Way in a dark sky that is cherished by their community and beneficial for all life.
Short version: FDSC envisions a world in which everyone can see the Milky Way where they live.
Our Mission
* To reconnect people to the awe and wonder of a starlit sky
* To nurture and celebrate the dark-sky ethos of Flagstaff and Northern Arizona
* To educate and advocate for the restoration of starlit skies in other communities, using Flagstaff as a model.
The splendor of a night sky lit by thousands of stars has for millennia inspired and connected humanity with a shared sense of awe and wonder. Today, some 80% of US households live under nighttime skies that are too bright to see more than a few hundred stars, let alone the Milky Way, and our skies continue to brighten artificially. This is because the dark-sky efforts of the past decades have not been effective enough to stem light pollution’s growth—except in places like Flagstaff, Arizona, a community that stands out as a success story and model for other cities in stemming light pollution and restoring dark skies. The Flagstaff Dark Skies Coalition can help your community reduce its light pollution so that everyone can see the Milky Way once again and reconnect to the night sky. We believe that everyone, regardless of socioeconomic status, should be able to see the Milky Way in a dark sky that is cherished by their community and beneficial for all life.
