9th and final biennial conference where you can view gourd and basket art exhibition and take a variety of in person workshops from national and local gourd and basket artists. The event opens Friday night April 26, 2024 with an opening reception and exhibition at Arts Visalia in downtown Visalia.
The fun continues on Saturday, April 27, 2024 and Sunday, April 28, 2024 at the Visalia Elks Lodge with a variety of hands on workshops and a dinner event. Advance registration is required for the workshops and dinner event, see below. For those traveling from out of the area, refer to the registration brochure for information on nearby accommodations at the Lamp Liter Inn in Visalia.

This event is sponsored by the Tulare-Sequoia Gourd Patch and the California Gourd Society. The Handweavers of the Valley are involved in providing volunteer support onsite during the event. Volunteers are still needed, please contact Toni Best now if you are able to assist. Toni and her crew are looking for a few more volunteers to help at the conference. The organizers need volunteers to check-in participants, set up extra chairs, sort and alphabetize lunches, and offer helpful hands. It really is just a few hours of your time, and there is no task too difficult. In return for this service, the conference offers HWOTV an outreach/seller’s booth free of charge.
