About this Event

Supervisor Betty Duong, in partnership with the Valley Health Foundation, invites you to the 9th Annual Santa Clara County Women’s Leadership and Policy Summit—a powerful gathering of women, leaders, advocates, students, professionals, and community members committed to creating meaningful change throughout Santa Clara County.

Join us on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at the San José State University for a full day of learning, connection, inspiration, and action.

Women Leading Change: Power in Action
Every Strength. Every Role. Everyone.

Change does not come from one person, one title, or one kind of leadership. It happens when each of us recognizes the strength we bring, contributes through the role we play, and works alongside others toward a shared purpose.

This year’s theme celebrates the many ways women create change—in their families, workplaces, schools, neighborhoods, organizations, and public institutions. Whether you lead from the front, organize behind the scenes, care for others, advocate for your community, build new ideas, support a team, or help turn a vision into reality, your contribution matters.

The Summit is an invitation to recognize your own power, strengthen your skills, uplift others, and put that power into action. Together, every strength, every role, and everyone can move change forward.

What to Expect

The Summit will feature:

  • Inspiring keynote speakers and community leaders
  • Engaging policy and leadership panels
  • Interactive workshops and professional development sessions
  • Youth and intergenerational programming
  • Career, job, and community resource opportunities
  • Networking with local leaders, organizations, and advocates
  • Community awards and special recognitions
  • Practical tools that attendees can use beyond the Summit

Workshop topics will explore leadership, advocacy, career advancement, mentorship, entrepreneurship, health and wellness, personal branding, civic engagement, emerging technology, and other issues affecting women and families.
