Join us for the 9th Annual Edith Chase Symposium!
This year’s speaker, Denny Taylor, Professor Emeritus, Hiram College, will present “Embracing Wetlands.” His lecture is titled “Wetlands as Generators of Environmental Stewards.” And will be presented Thursday evening, May 16, 2024, at the Kent State School of Architecture and Environmental Design, Cene Lecture Hall, Kent State University.
His areas of expertise are freshwater and marine ecology, and science education. He is a trustee of the Alfred W. Couch Organic Farm in Hiram and is passionate about gardening and decreasing human impacts on the natural world.
Our symposium continues Friday, May 17, 2024, 4PM, with the annual Edith Chase Poetry Reading at the Kent State School of Architecture and Environmental Design, Cene Lecture Hall. Local writers will read original poems for “Embracing Wetlands.”
