About this Event
We are pleased to announce that our annual 999 EMS Research Forum Annual Conference will take place in person on Tuesday 17 & Wednesday 18 September 2024, at the Clayton Hotel Cambridge.
Our in-person event starts on day one with registration then parallel workshops followed by a conference dinner, and day 2 consisting of a mix of key notes speakers, oral and rapid elevator presentations, and poster display with a theme of ‘999 EMS Research: recognising progress, developing the future’. More details on programme content will be made available in the coming months.
Call for abstracts for the conference are now open. Submissions can be related to any aspect of research, evaluation, audit or quality improvement, but we especially welcome submissions on the conference theme of: 999 EMS Research: recognising progress, developing the future.

Successfully peer reviewed asbtracts will have the chance to win prizes under the below categories at the conference:

Our preferred payment method is by credit/debit card.
Refund policy
No refund will be made for non-attendance. There is no charge for a delegate to substitute someone else to attend the conference. Substitute delegates will be accepted up to 72 hours before the start date. Please contact us at [email protected] to arrange this.
Background 999 EMS Research Forum
The 999 EMS Research Forum is a UK based partnership that brings together academics and health-care providers with a research interest in emergency care. It has been actively promoting emergency care research since its formation in 1997. Board members come from a range of specialities and backgrounds and include paramedics and academics. Aims of the Forum:
• To encourage, promote and disseminate research and evidence-based policy and practice in 999 healthcare
• To develop links between emergency healthcare practitioners and the research community
• To run an annual research conference providing an opportunity to disseminate research and run workshops to build research capacity
• To continue developing international collaborations in prehospital care research
