99 Easy Steps to Austrian Integration (dumb NYC comedian living in Vienna)
About this Event
I'm a NYC comedian who moved to Vienna for love three years ago and I have been struggling with and enjoying Austrian culture. I will explain my integration journey over the course of 99 easy steps on a powerpoint!
Expect jokes, stories, and maybe a little bit of audience interaction!
Jokes about: learning German, applying for Visas, life in Vienna, life in the Austrian countryside, teaching English to Austrian children, navigating public transit, the Viennese attitude, Viennese coffee houses, schnitzel, würstel, beer, and the word Oida.
About me:
Winner of the 2024 European Comedy Award for Best Show, Terence Hartnett is a comedian and cancer survivor fresh off of his fourth sold-out run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival with “1 Lung Marathon” A regular at Caroline’s on Broadway and a 2022 selection for NY Comedy Festival’s Comics to Watch, his mix of personal storytelling and tightly written material can be enjoyed by diehard comedy fans and sensitive story lovers alike. His last Fringe show was named a “Highly Recommended Show” by Fringe Review and was written up in The Lancet, an international medical journal (“One Lung, But Many Laughs…Hartnett's delivery was as slick as the 1950s-style kiss-curl in his fringe”). Comedy Clubhouse called the show “Insightful, emotional, and laugh-out-loud funny!”
As a new Wiener, Terence has hilarious and outrageous opinions about European humor, trains, restaurant service, culture shocks, and sausages. His new hour depicts an outsider's perspective on the food, culture, language, and a–holes of Austria from one of America’s (and now Europe’s) most talented up-and-coming comedians.
