916 Day Volunteer Event at Matsui Park – District 4Date: September 14, 2024

Come together with the City of Sacramento Department of Youth, Parks, & Community Enrichment and Parks Commissioner, Kai Hermann, for a day of service and fun at the 916 Day Volunteer Event in your neighborhood! This is your chance to make a tangible impact and help beautify our local park.
Event Activities:
• Hill Planting: Help plant fragrant rosemary on the hill of the Intake Plaza Parking Lot, adding greenery and a pleasant aroma to the area.
• Tree Planter Preparation: Prep tree planters for Fall plantings, ensuring a vibrant and healthy park for the coming season.
• Path Cleanup: Assist in cleaning up trash along the bike path, creating a cleaner and safer environment for all park users.
• Mural Painting: Potentially paint a mural, pending DOU approval, to add a creative and colorful touch to the park.
Snacks and Refreshments will be provided. Meet like-minded individuals who are passionate about making a difference in their community. Take pride in knowing you’ve played a crucial role in enhancing a beloved local park.
