The Father Mychal Judge Walk of Remembrance
Created by Detective Steven McDonald, this annual walk honors the memory of all those we lost on 9/11, especially Father Mychal Judge, FDNY Chaplain and the first recorded casualty of that tragic day.
In a spirit of prayer, unity, and remembrance, we retrace Father Mychal’s final path from St. Francis of Assisi Church down 7th Avenue toward the World Trade Center, just as he and so many brave souls traveled on 9/11.
Along the way, we honor the courage and sacrifice of the FDNY, NYPD, PAPD, and every hero who answered the call.
This is not a fundraiser. There is no fee.
This is simply a walk to remember… a walk to honor… a walk for us to never forget.
