On Saturday, September 20th, The Mahoning Drive-In Theater invites you to a 90s Horror Party, a 35mm triple feature of three teen terrors of the era on the big, BIG screen!
In the wake of the smash success of Wes Craven’s SCREAM (1996), the horror genre, though dead like a masked killer in a franchise film, popped back up with new energy, leading to a string of films starring young, attractive casts, with hip soundtracks and similar poster designs, playing off genre conventions of the previous decade and putting their own twist upon them…
First up is the film that launched a franchise that keeps reminding us…I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER (1997)! Jennifer Love Hewitt, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Ryan Phillippe and Freddie Prinze Jr. witness a tragedy, and a year later, find themselves the target of a deadly fisherman with a hook and a grudge!

Then, the rumors are all too true when a group of friends find out the real-life horrors that lie behind the URBAND LEGEND (1998)! When long-whispered-about modern myths result in murder, a group of college students try to unravel the mystery before they meet their makers!

Just make sure you don’t get too close, as there’s something….wrong…with the teachers here, and only a small group of spunky and suspicious students can thwart a plot to pulverize the planet’s population!
