In honor of the incomparable Dolly Parton, September 25th is now Dolly’s day. That’s when we’ll be screening 9 to 5 in 35mm for $9.25.
Besides writing and performing the movie’s theme song, a No. 1 pop and country hit, she also starred as a beleaguered secretary drudging for a sexist boss, alongside Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin. (The film and song were based on the stories of the 9to5, a labor union formed in Boston in 1973 to support women office workers, work the organization has expanded and continues to this day.)
Dolly’s influence, relevance, and philanthropy extend far beyond this film, through a life that made her a “uniter of people.”

Tickets for this special screening are $9.25.
If you choose the $10 ticket, the extra $0.75 will be donated to the Dollywood Foundation.
