Mike Zuglan's Joss Northeast 9-Ball Tour returns to Utica Billiards for the last of three stops Saturday and Sunday, April 27-28, 2024. Pro players pay a $120 entry fee and amateurs pay $70. There is an additional $15 one-event tour membership fee or a $40 season membership fee. Entry is made onsite, same day. There is no need or opportunity to pre-register. Doors will open at 10:00 AM on Saturday, April 27th FOR PLAYERS ONLY (Spectators should arrive around 12:30PM). You are not entered until you have paid! Entry must be paid NO LATER than 11:00AM on the 27th. Entrants MUST follow the tour dress code of a collared-shirt (e.g. polo, button-down, etc.), no sweats, shorts or t-shirts. Clean, neat jeans and sneakers are permitted. The tournament director reserves the right to refuse entry. If you arrive in a t-shirt, I will gladly sell you a Utica Billiards polo.
The main event begins on Saturday in this double-elimination event with even races to 9 on the winners' side. When a player loses his/her first match, they will move to the one-loss side of the bracket and play even races to 7 from that point forward as long as they remain in the tournament. There is $1,500 in prize money added to the entries fees for the main event. Play on Saturday will continue until there are four undefeated players and four one-loss players remaining. The final 8 players will return Sunday to play for the championship. This is a true double-elimination tournament meaning a player in the finals with one-loss will need to beat the undefeated player twice (once to move them to the one-loss side and a second time to win the tournament).
There will be an opportunity to enter a Second Chance tournament on Sunday for non-pro players eliminated from the main event on Saturday. There will be $500 in prize money added to the Second Chance entry fees.
