*Olympiads*
*Astronomy Olympiad*:
The Astronomy Olympiad stands at the core of 8th National Earth and Space Summit, hosted by the Notre Dame Eco and Space Club (NDESC).
This competition offers participants an exciting platform to showcase their knowledge of astronomy and problem-solving skills. Contestants will face a series of challenging questions designed to test their expertise in the field. These will range from conceptual multiple-choice questions that probe theoretical understanding to mathematical problems requiring precise calculations and critical thinking.

*Father Timm Memorial Biology Quest*:
This unique competition, crafted by the esteemed teachers of Notre Dame College, will challenge participants with questions drawn from higher secondary biology textbooks, mirroring the rigor of Medical Admission Tests (MAT).

*Earth Science Olympiad*:
Are you tired of the same old theories in physics, chemistry, and biology? Let's spice things up with a blend of all three, served with a side of real-life applications! The Earth Science Olympiad is your chance to flex your analytical muscles by interpreting everyday events. Our questions, crafted by the National Earth Olympiad Knowledge Team, challenge you with both multiple-choice and explanatory tasks to enrich your understanding of nature and the earth.

*Climate Science Olympiad*:
Climate Science Olympiad’ is going to be one of the most unique segments of our event that challenges your understanding of our planet’s climate. This competition, presented in a case study format, invites participants to analyze real-world climate science scenarios. Each participant will be presented with a case, complete with climate-related questions and problems. Your task? Answer our questions and write down innovative, feasible solutions on paper. Let’s inspect the complexities of climate science together and strive for excellence!

*Biology Olympiad*:
Presenting a golden opportunity to those who are drawn to the wonders of Biology and aspire to distinguish themselves as exceptional bio-talents among a crowd of competitors — Biology Olympiad! Whether you’re attracted by the complexity of cells, the behaviors of animals, or the variety of plant life, this olympiad has something to offer.

**Art and Craft Segment**
*Children's Craftwork*:
A child’s imagination is, in every sense of the word, limitless. To catch a glimpse of that limitlessness we arrange this signature event, wherein our little visitors can bring whatever supplies they please and let their imaginations run to the moon and beyond.
This year, the theme is 21st February: International Mother Language Day, honoring the beauty of linguistic and cultural diversity. Participants will craft art pieces that reflect the spirit of this significant day, showcasing their unique perspectives and heartfelt expressions.

[Sub-Categories: (i) Nursery, KG; (ii) Classes 1–2; (iii) Classes 3–5]

*Scrapbook (solo)*:
Do you have your favorite colors and the paper of your choice ready? Because, in this event, we will need you to bring your imaginations to life in the shape of your most eye-catching scrapbooks. Prove your artistic mastery and win the hearts of the visitors by creating a captivating expression of your creativity.

**Photosphere 5.0**
*Mid-Journey or AI Art (Submission based)*:
Show your imaginative skills with the AI assistant to create breathtaking eco and astro-themed artworks. Just a quick reminder that your AI-generated photo needs to portray something interesting, and you can add a short description of your thoughts.
Submissions should be done via google form, accompanied by details of the “prompt” used for the design.

*Digital Art (Submission based)*:
This virtual event of art is based on Astronomy, Ecology, and Earth Science. You can depict any occurrences, events, or anything your mind says. Participants are required to send their original compositions via google form. (Link is given below)

*Astro Photography*(Submission Based):
Have a good lens in your camera? It's your turn! Depict any astronomical event, celestial object, or constellation and save it for the contest.

*Eco Photography*(Submission Based):
Capture what you see around you and your world of nature and send us.
*Creative Writing*(Submission Based):
The Creative Writing event is designed to inspire participants to express their ideas and imagination through words.

*Sub-Segment– Academic Writing*:

Compose an engaging article on the fascinating subjects of Astronomy or Earth Science, limited to 700 words in either English or Bangla. As this is an online event, we will accept submissions via google form in PDF or MS Word format. Your name, institution, class, and contact number should be mentioned inside the document.

*Sub-Segment– Sci-Fi Story Writing*:
Craft a tale within 700 words in English or Bangla that exceeds the boundaries of reality, going out into the vast expanse of space or astronomy. Send your unique story in PDF or MS Word format here :
*Your name, institution, class, and contact number should be mentioned inside the document.
Remember, Sci-Fi should have a limit. You can't break the laws of physics here! But yes, modification is definitely allowed.*

*Others*
*Star Mapping*:
The Star Mapping event is an engaging activity where participants can immerse themselves in the wonders of the night sky.
In this event, participants will be provided with a detailed star chart and tasked with identifying and connecting constellations, pointing out stars, or locating deep-sky objects (DSOs). It’s a thrilling adventure where every dot represents a star, and every line tells a story of the universe.

*Turn The Coat*:
Turn the Coat is a speaking event where the participants are required to blindly select a random topic from a pre-selected bunch and then proceed to speak about the topic. However, the catch is that they must speak in favor of the topic for the first half of their time and then speak against the topic for the rest of their time.

*Guess to Gain*:
Guess to Gain is an exclusive solo event designed primarily for juniors to test their curiosity and observational skills.
In the junior segment, participants will receive clues, pictures, and scientific works of renowned scientists and must guess their names. For the secondary category, the focus shifts to identifying constellations, common rocks, and fossils through pictures or descriptions.

*AEI: Astro & Eco Ideation*:
Astro & Eco Ideation is a unique submission based event that transforms participants into both examiners and examinees!
Participants will create questions based on a given text and answer them themselves. Judging will be based on the creativity, relevance, and accuracy of their questions and answers, as well as their provided mark distribution.

*Crisis Management*:
Beyond Boundaries step into the role of a project manager facing high-stakes challenges in Astronomy (Interplanetary Science) and Ecology. In this intense event, you’ll tackle hypothetical crises—from mission failures on distant planets to ecological disasters threatening Earth.
Think fast, innovate boldly, and craft groundbreaking solutions to problems that test your leadership, creativity, and resilience. Can you navigate the chaos and emerge as the ultimate crisis solver? The stars and Earth are counting on you!

*Astral Hunt*:
An exhilarating celestial adventure with Astral Hunt, where your detective skills meet the wonders of Astronomy!
Teams of 3 students will compete in this exciting, team-based event open to participants from all backgrounds. The journey begins with a thrilling quiz of riddles in the first round, where only the top five teams will advance. The final round unveils a secret challenge that will test your intellect and problem-solving abilities.
Will your team crack the code and claim victory?

*PowerPoint Presentation*:
A PowerPoint presentation competition exploring the wonders of Earth and Astronomy!
Participants will create captivating slides on specific topics, blending engaging content, visual appeal, and a clear storyline to impress the judges. The competition consists of two rounds: submit your presentation in the first round, and if selected, compete in the finals.
Teams can have up to 3 members. Ensure your slides are informative, enjoyable, and truly stellar!

Step into the world of quizzing with the Eco & Space Buzz, a fast-paced challenge that tests your knowledge of Earth and Space!
The event features two rounds: the gripping preliminaries and the thrilling finals. Only 6-8 teams will secure a spot in the grand finale to compete for glory.
Form a team of up to 3 members and get ready to showcase your brilliance in this ultimate quiz battle!

*Green Tech Showcasing*:
Want to dive into exploring green technology in our environment? Here you go! You will find a scope to hone your creativity through a captivating display of projects showcasing the impact of environment-friendly technology. GreenTech Showcase is an exciting event where participants will demonstrate how green innovations are transforming our planet for the better! Explore innovative solutions harnessing the power of green technology to create a more sustainable Earth and portray it on your project! Remember, the member count in each team should not exceed 4.

Be ready for an incredible journey with NDESC's grand event, "Stellarscapes"! The Stellarscapes is now out of the boundary of an Intra-college event.
This unique event promises an exciting exploration of the cosmos, by transforming a part of our campus into a celestial wonderland. We invite you to visit us for a remarkable experience and to have a feeling of being a small creature of the universe.

*Astronomy Exhibition*: Here you will discover captivating displays with 3D models featuring celestial objects, groundbreaking discoveries, and more! All the projects made by the organizers or the participants combined will be showcased as a part of the exhibition.
*Project Showcase and Wall Magazine*: Teams of not more than 4 will create informative wall magazines covering topics like Earth Science, Eco, Astronomy, or a terrestrial mix of all three. At the exhibition, they will present their projects as a part of our “Astronomy Exhibition” and to esteemed judges, showcasing their expertise and skills.
