CLASSES for 2025 -
10:30–11:15 – Papa Gee – Sunshine Magic: Spells of Light, Power, and Radiance
The sun isn’t just a light in the sky—it’s a force of transformation, clarity, protection, and power. In this bright and empowering workshop, we’ll explore the often-overlooked realm of Sunshine Magic—a folk-based practice that draws on solar cycles, natural energy, and old-world belief. Across cultures, the sun has been honored as a symbol of success, growth, healing, and truth—a purifying fire that brings things fully to life.
You’ll learn how to time your spells with the sun’s cycle and create practical solar magic like sun jars, charged water, and citrus-based charms. Whether you’re working for confidence, cleansing, or clarity, this class shows you how to bring the sun’s power into your practice.
11:45–12:30 – Iajahnni – Astral Alchemy: Transmuting Chaos and Negativity into Order and Harmony
In this workshop Iajahnni-Matthew Von will teach you how to step into your Soul Sovereignty and use his three step method to transmute the Chaos and Negativity in your life experience into Order and Harmony. This experiential event is for all practitioners who are ready to create real change in their personal lives, nurture their communities, and support humanity in this period of global ascension.
1:00–1:45 – Reverend Roy – Chickens, Coffins, and Corn: Death Omens and the Spirit World
Death walks beside us all our lives—and in folk traditions, signs of its coming and ways to tend its passing have long been woven into daily life. This class invites you to step into the shadowy crossroads of death omens, where chickens foretell funerals, cornstalks whisper warnings, and graves become sacred places of power. We will unravel old stories, omens, and rituals our ancestors used to navigate life’s final threshold—and learn how to honor the dead, appease restless spirits, and call on the wisdom of those who’ve gone before.
2:15–3:00 – Mama T. – Divining with Bones: The Art of Osteomancy
Delve into the ancient practice of osteomancy, a form of divination utilizing bones and curios. This intricate art form involves tossing a set of bones onto a surface and deciphering the message based on the piece, position, and orientation. In this class, we will explore the fundamentals of bone divination, tracing the history of osteomancy and examining the individual meanings of the bones.
3:30–4:15 – Nikki Jean – Mothers of Power: The Goddesses of the Orisha Tradition
The Orisha goddesses are rivers, winds, oceans, and ancestors—living forces of nature and divine feminine power. In this class, we’ll explore the stories, symbols, and sacred roles of these goddesses and how each offers her own wisdom, protection, and transformative energy to those who honor her.
We’ll discuss how these goddesses are approached in Yoruba religion and diasporic traditions like Santería, including their offerings, colors, and spiritual domains. This class offers a respectful and vibrant introduction to the divine feminine in African Traditional Religion.
4:45–5:30 – Stephanie Reed – Dark Holler Magic: Haints, Hexes, & Hidden Healing
Dive into the shadowy world of Appalachian folk magic where spirits roam the hollers and mountain wisdom runs deep. Learn to protect your home from unwanted haints, master the art of both casting and breaking hexes, and discover how our ancestors used teas, decoctions, and tinctures to heal from within.
This immersive workshop explores the darker side of mountain magic—the practices whispered about but rarely taught openly. You’ll witness traditional demonstrations of protective charm-making, hexing and unhexing techniques, and healing remedy preparation using time-honored Appalachian methods. Take home samples of authentic folk preparations and the knowledge to recreate them.
Drawing from authentic mountain traditions where practitioners work with both hands, this workshop offers practical skills for real-world magical protection and healing. Come ready to learn the secrets and walk away with both knowledge and traditional samples to try at home.
Perfect for practitioners who understand that true folk magic doesn’t shy away from the shadows.
6:00–8:00 PM – Drum Circle
We’ll close the evening with a lively and grounding drum circle. Feel free to bring your own hand drum, handpan, or djembe. If you don’t have one, we’ll have 15 drums available to borrow—everyone is welcome to join the rhythm and raise energy together.
