oin us for the 8th Annual Teacher Penned Play Festival!
On Monday, Labor Day, September 1, 2025, at 2:00 PM, the Nine Eighteen Nine Gallery—housed within the VAPA Center at 700 N Tryon Street, Charlotte—will be transformed into a stage for imagination and reflection.
Experience six original ten-minute plays written by local educators and brought to life by a talented cast of Charlotte actors. It’s a celebration of how teaching, art, and community intersect. Best of all—admission is free, and there’s free parking (enter via N. College Street)!
Whether you’re drawn by the power of storytelling, the energy of local theater, or simply want to spend a meaningful afternoon in a beautiful arts venue, this festival promises something for everyone.
