Friday, May 1st- Youth Mental Health First Aid (No Cost!)
8:30 AM - 4:30 PM
Youth Mental Health First Aid is a full-day, in-person training that teaches participants how to recognize and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges in youth ages 12–18. Throughout the day, participants will learn how to identify common signs of anxiety, depression, ADHD, and substance use, understand how to support a young person in crisis, and practice the Mental Health First Aid Action Plan (ALGEE). The training also covers trauma, self-care, and the impact of social media and bullying. Attendees will leave with practical tools to provide initial support and connect youth to appropriate resources.
