8th Annual Mahi'ai Gala Fundraiser

The Mahi’ai Gala – our Celebration of Farmers – is in its 8th year and we cordially invite you to take part and join the festivities on Saturday, September 25. This year's Gala returns to the Aloun Farms Festival Grounds – a true farm to table experience – alongside Presenting Sponsor, ChefZone (a division of Y. Hata & Co., Limited) and Featured Sponsor Mahi Pono.

We are thrilled to have talented teams from high school culinary programs across the islands showcasing their interpretations of local and international ingredients. These students have been taught the importance of agriculture in Hawaii and on a global scale, and they hope to impart their appreciation for the land with us as we indulge in their creations.

Prior to the Gala, these teams will participate in the 8th Annual Culinary Competition hosted this year at ChefZone. Tasked with preparing dishes using Aloun Farms' signature seasonal produce, they wow the judges and will be ready to cook for you and over 400 community leaders, industry partners and corporate sponsors. The top three dishes will be featured at the Gala alongside artisanal libations created by Hawaii's top mixologists.

Together with the Krause Family Foundation (a 501 (c3)), industry leaders, our distinguished judges and the support of sponsors like yourself, we raised over $50,000 in 2020 which directly benefited the participating schools and their culinary programs. Let's do it again this year!
