Come have a spook-tacular time at this sensory-friendly Halloween event for kids who need an alternative to the crowded, overstimulating trick-or-treat experience.

Put on your favorite costume, grab some treats, and groove to the tunes of our live musician. We'll have a fun activity in each room for your little ones to discover: a magician, interactive characters, musician, crafts, trick-or-treat rooms, a quiet room, and more!

The Speech Language Pathologists at Columbus Speech & Hearing (CSH) created this event to educate families of children with developmental delays on ways to provide speech support in a sensory-friendly, fun environment. We’ve created a Halloween experience that eliminates scary decorations, minimizes challenges that children with special needs often face, and encourages participation at each child’s own level and pace.

Don't forget to participate in our on-site raffle to win some wicked cool prizes while supporting a great cause!

What's our cause, you might ask?

Columbus Speech & Hearing is a nonprofit that serves over 8,000 people locally with speech and hearing disorders every year. We don’t turn anyone away if they’re unable to pay. Seniors, children, and individuals with special needs are the groups majorly impacted by these issues. Without the ability to effectively communicate, these vulnerable groups feel unheard, misrepresented, disconnected, a lack of independence, and usually struggle with school and work—two huge building blocks of success. We are currently one of the only providers in the area that accepts Medicaid, which makes our services crucial to those in low-income situations needing access to speech therapy and affordable hearing aids.

The proceeds we raise will support these services that so many people rely on but struggle to afford.

Please reach out to Laura if you're interested in sponsorship of this event or volunteering. Thank you!
