📍 Herman Hill Park – 101 E Pawnee St, Wichita, KS 67211
This week we’re exploring Herman Hill Park for the very first time! We’ll meet up, find the trail together, and enjoy discovering everything this 250+ acre park along the Arkansas River has to offer.
According to what I’ve found, Herman Hill Park is a prominent recreational area with:
✨ Walking trails
✨ Picnic areas
✨ Playground
✨ Open green spaces for sports & activities
✨ Beautiful river landscapes
I also came across a neat post that mentioned starting at the Water Center (with fountains and a giant aquarium featuring native Arkansas River fish) and walking the nature trail. Even in the winter, people found the park beautiful and peaceful!
🎶 Fun side quest: I’ve heard there was once a concert at Herman Hill Park. Let’s do a little digging — if anyone can find history about it, please share in the comments or bring it Saturday so we can chat about it while we walk!
