Everyone is welcome to bring fruits or veggies and gluten free options or other types
of desserts or… just bring yourself. :)
THE KITCHEN WILL BE CLOSED THIS TUESDAY
FOR REPAIR, so you are allowed to bring your own snack, this week only.
There is a bar on the premises, and we encourage you to purchase a water or soda for $2
each. There is also alcohol. Don’t forget to tip your bartender. :)
We welcome beginning dancers. Just an fyi…
The dances will be beginner from 7pm-7:30’ish and then we will start having more challenging dances with less or no teaching. Hang in there, the more you attend, the easier it will get.

It’s also National Banana Split Day. When is the last time you’ve had one of those?
Here’s some info:
Today is a day that you can go ape over. It’s a very ape-pealing day. This August 25 holiday is called
National Banana Split Day!!
On August 25, 1904, the banana spilt was first created in the small town of Latrobe, Pennsylvania. David Strickler, a 23-year-old pharmacist apprentice was working in the soda fountain section of the Tassel Pharmacy at 805 Ligonier Street. Strickler liked to experiment with different combinations of ice cream flavors and toppings. He created the banana split on this day and sold it for 10 cents, which was a lot at the time. As a matter of fact, it was twice the price of other sundaes.
The banana split quickly caught on with students from local Saint Vincent College, and from there, its popularity spread. Walgreens gets recognition for spreading the banana split across the nation when they added it to their soda fountain menu.
