About this Event
The evening will commemorate the remarkable 80-year journey of the United Nations, spotlighting its unwavering dedication to fostering global harmony, security, human rights, and development. This event will showcase our collective endeavours to overcome the most pressing challenges that our world faces, under the 2025 theme: "Promoting Peace, Unity, and Global Partnerships".
Joining us in this celebration will be esteemed national and international guests, distinguished state government officials, recipients and nominees of the UN Day Awards, valued partners, members of UNAAWA, and the general public.
The event will take place at the elegant Duxton Hotel in Perth on the 17th of October, commencing at 6 p.m. (Registration starts 6pm, formal proceedings starts 6:30pm)
As part of the festivities, we will honour the exceptional achievements of individuals and organisations from the local community who have tirelessly contributed to establishing a safer, fairer, and more sustainable world for all. Nominations for the UN Day Awards are open to outstanding initiatives in the following categories:
- Human Rights
- Environment
- Gender Equality
- Young Professionals
- University SDG Challenge
