8-Week Yoga Beginner Series: Yoga Should Feel Good!

Join DM Wellness & Yoga for an 8-week workshop series to begin or reignite your yoga practice. Each week, we’ll spend our 90-minute session breaking down the structure of yoga poses, learning to modify practices for your body, and diving into the history and purpose of yoga. The group for this series will be kept intentionally small, capped at 8 participants, to allow for individualized support, group discussion, and building community. All sessions will include a short educational session, a guided physical practice, and group discussion.

While programming is designed with beginners in mind, this series will provide opportunities for seasoned yogis to refine their practice by revisiting the foundational aspects of yoga asana and philosophy. In addition to the eight 90-minute workshop sessions, each registrant will have access to up to two half-price private lessons which can be booked anytime during the series or within one month after. The first five people to register will also receive a FREE 50-minute private session. This is a great opportunity to receive additional individual support for your practice. This time might be spent curating a short practice you can follow at home, breaking down or workshopping individual poses, or simply enjoying a class made just for you.

There will be two 2023 winter cohorts:

Thursdays 7:00-8:30pm each week 1/12 - 3/2

Sundays 1:00-2:30pm each week 1/15-3/5

All sessions are held in-person at DM Wellness & Yoga located at 1131 42nd St. in Des Moines (Uptown Shopping Center).
