Learn about the origins and significance of Hanukkah, its traditions, and why it’s celebrated today.
Personal Stories:
Hear personal experiences from our guest speakers as they share their own family traditions and memories of Hanukkah.
Q&A Session:
Bring your questions! Our presenters will answer anything you’d like to know about Hanukkah.
Games and Activities:
Try your luck with dreidel games, and enjoy fun, interactive activities for all ages.
Songs of the Season:
Join in singing traditional Hanukkah songs that celebrate the joy of the holiday.
Jewish Traditional Snacks:
Enjoy delicious Hanukkah treats, like latkes and sufganiyot (jelly-filled doughnuts).
Bring family and friends to enjoy an afternoon of learning, music, games, and delicious treats. All are welcome to this free event at the library—no registration required!
About the facilitator
Dr. Marlene Bricker received her B. S. degree in Elementary Education and then her Master of Education in Guidance and Counseling. She was raised in an Orthodox Jewish synagogue and studied Kabbala for 4 and a half years. She has spoken and facilitated workshops all over the country.
