8 Brocade Qi Gong. The New Yoga.
Hi all, excited to meet you all for an exciting class of slow body movement stretches and breath works!
We'll be practicing 8 Brocade Qi Gong in particular. Having practiced 8 Brocade Qi Gong for over a decade, Not only it has strengthened my body, my mental health and cognition also benefited. 8 Brocade Qi Gong is grounding, moving, shaking, strengthening, releasing, expressing. It’s getting honest and present and ultimately coming home to your heart.
The class will be lead by TCM physician Dr. Ming Liu.
Come and have fun and leave with a refreshed body and mind.
Light refreshments will be served after class.
What is 8 Brocade Qi Gong?
Qi Gong (pronounced chee-gong) has been used in China for thousands of years as a powerfully healing-moving meditation. It combines soft flowing bodyweight movements, with long slow diaphragmatic breaths and specific visualizations.
The Eight Brocades Qi Gong is a set of qigong exercises, medically designed to stimulate the acupuncture meridians and their associated organs, while it improves digestive function as well as mental focus and emotional balance.
If practiced routinely, it will improve your health significantly as it improves the flow of qi throughout the body.
Qigong can be performed standing or sitting (seated qigong for seniors), it lends itself to all fitness levels, walks of life and all ages.
