Hi everybody!
This is Mike Walden. I was the guitarist/singer in 2 great Tucson bands: East2West and Anna Warr & Giant Blue.
As you may recall - Jim Holt (E2W Keyboardist) died of Covid at the start of the pandemic. Anna Warr died a few months later during knee surgery, also during Covid.
All of the sudden, I had no bands and the country went into Covid shut-down. I hung up my guitar and figured “That’s it”. After 62 years of playing guitar, I figured I was done playing in bands.
After a couple of years of nothingness, I got a call from a band who needed a lead guitarist. I twirled it around in my brain for a while and finally decided to get back in the game.
The guys I hooked up with are called “7th Street Groove Band”. Their vocals are crazy good. Four part harmony. Wonderful players with an eccentric set list.
I’d love for all my friends to come listen to us at our first gig in town.
We will be playing at the Big Bad Wolf on Sunday October 11 from 3:00 - 6:00.
