7th Annual Winter Technology & Innovation in Orthopedics Symposium

This year will feature 4 highly specialized tracks: Hip & Knee, Shoulder, Sports Medicine, and NEW this year -- Spine. The symposium, hosted by HSS Florida, in collaboration with Cleveland Clinic Florida, Holy Cross Orthopedic Institute, and the University of Miami Health System, brings together world-renowned faculty in orthopedics to debate the value of novel technology and integration within the new paradigm of health care delivery. Focused on innovation, presentations will cover the latest advances and evidence-based treatment plans in adult knee and hip arthroplasty, shoulder arthroplasty, joint preservation, advanced recovery and pain protocols, sports medicine and spine surgery.

Learning Objectives | HSS continuing medical education activities are intended to improve the quality of patient care and safety. At the completion of the course, the participant should be able to:

• Discuss the role that new and advanced techniques and technologies have in various disciplines of orthopedic surgery including knee and hip, shoulder and spine.
• Discuss evidence-based strategies in the management of orthopaedic and musculoskeletal conditions as they relate to cutting edge developments in their respective fields;
• Debate the value of new technologies and their integration within the new paradigm of health care delivery and assess the applicability for such new advances in practice;
• Recognize the limitations and benefits of innovative technologies and techniques as they relate to current orthopaedic practice.
