Bardstown & Back Tour - Saturday August 23rd, 2025, 8am for 55 & 100 mile routes from Louisville to Bardstown KY and Sunday August 24th 9am with 55 mile route from Bardstown to Louisville KY. This FREE, VOLUNTEER & DONATION BASED overnight tour follows much of the original OKHT routes of days gone by. It's a throwback of the original Bardstown tour, now put on by Crazy Ridenfaden Cyclists, members and volunteers.Pack your bags, one of our 2 SAG cars will carry your luggage to the hotel. SAG 1 Saturday - Emmalee Neal Ruoff, will carry the Lunch Stop supplies including support, water and energy drink for the 100 mile route. If you are riding the 55, do not put overnight bags in SAG 1 as it will get to Bardstown later.
SAG 2 Saturday - (Unknown at this time), will carry water, snacks, energy drink and luggage, will get to Bardstown earlier.
SATURDAY Day 1 - Saturday August 23rd, 2025, 8am from Seidenfaden's for 55 & 100 mile routes to Bardstown. SAG 2 - Water and restroom stops will be in Parklands at Turkey Run Park, Waterford Park and our SAG 1 lunch stop with sandwiches, snacks and fruit will be set up by 11am in Fairfield KY at St. Michael's Catholic Church parking area (restroom not available at the church, go the the store in Fairfield for restroom).
From Fairfield the two routes split off: SAG 1 will escort 100 mile riders roll thru Bloomfield, Chaplin, Willisburg, Springfield and up the infamous Pottershop road with the last 3 climbs.
SAG 2 will escort 55 mile riders, who will have just 11 miles to go to the hotel finishing line. 5 riders are welcome to take in the Pottershop climb, but only the 100 mile route includes it. SUNDAY DAY 2: everyone rides 55 miles home leaving Bardstown around 9AM from the hotel. Grab your complimentary continental breakfast at the hotel or check out Hadorn's Bakery, 118 W Flaget St, Bardstown, KY 40004 for doughnuts. Before we head out at 9 one SAG driver will carry the SAG supplies and rider bags back to Louisville. The Sunday SAG driver would make a stop again at Waterford Park and or Turkey Run Parklands for drinks and snacks before unloading at Seidenfaden's around 1:00-1:30.
PIZZA PARTY SUNDAY - After unload at Seidenfaden's, will head over to Goodfellas Pizzeria - 642 Baxter Ave Suite 102, Louisville, KY 40204 for pies, suds and celebrate our achievements.
