7th Annual PILA Walk: A Special Evening of Love and Remembrance

Everyone is welcome to join us for this heartfelt evening dedicated to love and remembrance. Our 7th Annual Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day offers a day for grieving parents to find solace and support among friends, family, and the community. This day is an opportunity to heal and come together, knowing that you are not alone in your pain. We honor the lives lost too soon, regardless of the stage of pregnancy.

Community Roots Collective invites you and your loved ones to spend this special evening with us at Plant Park on the University of Tampa campus. Join us for a 1-mile family walk along the scenic Hillsborough River. Feel free to create and carry a sign to raise awareness about the 1 in 4 affected by pregnancy and infant loss. The event will feature snacks and water, a community art project to remember our babies, musical accompaniment, and stories shared by families. Each attendee will receive a seed card to plant, and we will conclude the evening by releasing flowers into the river at sunset to the beautiful music of a local artist.

Children in strollers or carriers can attend for free, while all others must purchase tickets. This walk is our largest fundraiser, and all proceeds help us maintain our donation-based services, ensuring that families from all backgrounds have access to quality resources and programming.
