Travel with us back to the Fall of 1775 as the freeholders and inhabitants of the Rombout Precinct (Fishkill) Southern Dutchess County make the difficult decision to remain loyal to the British Crown or join the fight for Independence. Meet the citizens who signed the Articles of Association and the ones who refused and experience the fight between neighbors and members of individual families. You can join in and declare where your own loyalties lie. Meet Continental and British soldiers and everyday citizens who will show you how they lived and survived during the American Revolution here in the Hudson Valley.
We welcome our history colleagues from Beacon, Fishkill, LaGrange and Wappingers as they join us in telling the stories of the inhabitants of the Rombout Precinct.
