This vibrant community festival promises an exciting lineup of cultural performances, live music, and a colourful display of traditional food and customs, bringing the rich heritage and warmth of India to life in Christchurch.A special highlight of the evening will be the First Lohri Celebration for baby girls, baby boys, and newly married couples, adding a heartfelt and joyful touch to the festivities as families come together to create cherished memories.
Lohri, a beloved folk festival from Northern India, marks the end of winter and celebrates the arrival of longer days as the sun begins its journey towards the northern hemisphere. It is a time of joy, gratitude, and togetherness—perfectly reflected in this community celebration.
