77th Annual Steveston Salmon Festival

The City of Richmond, Steveston Community Society, and Richmond Agricultural and Industrial Society present the 77th annual Steveston Salmon Festival on July 1, 2024. In Steveston Village, “Canada’s biggest little birthday party” celebrates the community with a show-stopping parade, live music, family-friendly activities, and much more.

Foodies will want to try the iconic Salmon Bake — a savory, barbecued salmon filet that has become a Steveston favorite — a bowl of tasty chow mein or fluffy stacks of pancakes for early-rising parade-goers.

Stages set across the village will feature music all day, headlined by the six-piece dance band Dr. Strangelove and Midnight Cruiser Band, which offers ‘70s and ‘80s rock with a modern twist.

Roving entertainers like jugglers and stilt walkers will keep crowds amused as festival goers explore the Art Show, Japanese Culture Show, and activities at Britannia Shipyards National Historic Site.
