⚡️ Slipped Disc All-Nighter ⚡️
► Cambridge we're back after a long summer, with an unparalleled line-up of massive Junction shows schedule for the year. Since we first took over Cambridge's best nightclub in 2021, we've brought a rich selection of world-class DJs to Cambridge, including Joy Orbison, DJ Seinfeld, TSHA, Ross From Friends, I. Jordan, DJ Boring, Pretty Girl and many more. Every year we've cranked up the gas and this one is no exception.
► We've jam packed this line-up with some of our absolute favourites of the scene at the moment for a night of high-energy sets, feeding you the bounciest house, techno and garage. It’s the biggest dance music night of term, with over 1000 music-lovers dancing between two rooms, with huge lighting visuals and an unmatched sound system.
⭐️ ⭐️⭐️
► London-based producer and DJ Effy grew up in the North West of England listening to the high energy sounds of artists like The Chemical Brothers and The Prodigy. Effy was named as one of Pete Tong's Rising Stars and has attained blanket support on BBC Radio 1 & Radio 6 with Mary Anne Hobbs. Her debut EP Not What It Seems sees Effy stepping into the sounds she turns to when she DJs, as well as hearing that Prodigy influence with acid, rave and broken beat sounds. Effy’s latest EP ‘The Highest Level’ gained blanket support amongst the likes of Pangea, Bicep and was playlisted on Radio 6. She has so far played across some iconic venues and festivals such as Fabric, The Warehouse Project, Amnesia Ibiza, Printworks and Glastonbury. Effy capped off 2023 with a highly anticipated debut Boiler Room in Sydney which took the world by storm. She is eager to utilise her platform in dance music to highlight female musicians, and in 2022 she launched Not Yours, a club night and community-focused celebration named after the reality that women do not belong to anybody. It is hard to describe how excited we are for her to take the stage in November.
► Since winning BBC’s prestigious Essential Mix of the Year in 2021, spotlighting her radiant blend of classic house, breakbeat and experimental electronica to the world over, Elkka has been an unstoppable force within the London underground. She has played at pretty much every major UK festival and toured around the world, played b2b with Jamie ** and has just released a spellbinding debut album. ‘Prism of Pleasure’ is easily the most authentic expression of Elkka’s artistry to date. Written over the space of 18 months, the record encapsulates Elkka’s essence as a bold, queer woman who pushes freedom and sensuality to the forefront of her work. After coming out and moving to London in her 20s, the musician started DJing, writing and producing, which eventually led to her launching her own record label, femme culture, and running her own queer club nights off the back of that. More than just your typical, fleeting DJ obsession, Elkka is actively building the blocks for a better tomorrow.
► Brought up in London on club nights like FWD & System - K-Lone’s eclectic DJ style blends House records, Techno, UKG, UK Funky, Dubstep, Jungle & Footwork as well as new self-produced originals and club edits. He has toured extensively around the UK, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, North America and Japan as well as playing Glastonbury, Love International, Worldwide Festival and Freerotation. His debut LP ‘Cape Cira’ was widely deemed one of 2020’s standout electronic LPs, gaining glowing reviews in Pitchfork, DJ Mag, Mixmag and Resident Advisor, and ranking highly in end of year lists by Crack Magazine, Bleep.com and beyond. His second full length project, ‘Swells’ released in July 2023 on Wisdom Teeth is a kaleidoscopic and expansive record that looks to deep house, synthpop, leftfield R&B and features guest vocals from Brit-nominated singer Eliza Rose. We cannot see what he is going to bring to Junction.
► Backing them up is a selection of some of the very best Cambridge-bred talent. Full line-up TBA.
