Join us for for a New England Fall Adventure, October 6-12, 2024!
Day 1 (Sunday) We depart Farragut (Cracker Barrel, Campbell Station Rd) at 6:30am then Knoxville (WalMart, Kinzel Way) at 7:30am then Bristol (Walmart-Exit 7) at 9:30am before continuing north through Virginia, West Virginia and Maryland to spend our first night in Pennsylvania. Dinner is included tonight.
Day 2 (Monday) We depart our hotel after breakfast at 8am and make our way to historic Sleepy Hollow, New York. Once here we will have a tour of the Rockefeller Estate, Kykuit, a visit to the the Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, and if time allows, the Historical Society of Hudson Valley before an included dinner. We close our evening with the Great Jack O'Lantern Blaze where you will walk through 18th-century landscape and view over 7,000 hand carved, illuminated jack o'lanterns! We overnight in the Hudson Valley area.
Day 3 (Tuesday) We say good bye to the valley and journey further northeast to Boston, Massachusetts. We arrive in Boston by noon for an included lunch and visit to the Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum. Next we visit the Old North Church (1 if by land, 2 if by sea) and Paul Revere’s House. Dinner is on your own tonight at Faneiul Hall’s amazing food court.
Day 4 (Wednesday) We continue on north to Kennebunkport, Maine where we visit Saint Ann’s Church, White Columns, and the Seashore Trolley Musuem. You will have free time to shop and have dinner on your own in Dock Square before returning to our hotel by 8pm.
Day 5 (Thursday) Today we explore the bewitching town of Salem, Massachusettes. We begin our day visiting Nathaniel Hawthorn’s House of Seven Gables. You will then have free time to explore the city and enjoy lunch on your own. We regroup at 3pm to visit Pioneer Village which was used in the famous Disney Film, Hocus Pocus. We return to our hotel by 6pm.
Day 6 (Friday) This morning we enjoy a guided tour of Harvard University. Founded in 1636 as Harvard College, this private Ivy League university is one of the most prestigious in the world. We depart here at 10:30am and begin our drive home. This evening we stop in Hershey, Pennsylvania for our last overnight stay. Dinner is included at a local restaurant before we check into our nearby hotel.
Day 7 (Saturday) We begin today with a visit to Hershey's Chocolate World before departing for home. We will arrive back in Knoxville by 9pm.
