“7:40 ki ladies special" - a play based on the life of transgender Pooja Sharma Rekha to leave the audience with multiple emotions!

24th March 2023 Mumbai India - The highly anticipated play "7:40 ki ladies special" by the Aawara Theatre Group is set to premiere on March 25th 2023 at 7:30 pm in Andheri at Mukkti Cultural Auditorium. The play is about the life and journey of Pooja Sharma Rekha and is produced by acclaimed filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt and Sandiip Kapur the play follows the journey of a transgender activist and her struggles to be accepted by society.

Starring Pooja Sharma Rekha herself in the lead role the play also features a talented cast including Utkarsh Gupta (fame Rajjo) Swaroopa Ghosh (fame Piku) and the founders of Aawara Theatre Group as well as the writer director and actor’s Viren Basoya (fame Stree) and Sapna Basoya (fame Janhit Mein Jaari). The play promises to be a gripping tale of resilience and courage shedding light on the challenges faced by the transgender community in India.

The premiere night of "7:40 ki ladies special" will be attended by Mahesh Bhatt Pooja Sharma Rekha Utkarsh Gupta Viren Basoya Sapna Basoya and Swaroopa Ghosh. The guest list also includes prominent personalities of Bollywood and Tv who will visit to witness this amazing play live.
