Join us for the City of Burlington’s sixth annual Juneteenth Celebration on Friday, June 19, 2026 from 6–8pm at the North Park Ballfield (817 Sharpe Road). This free community event honors Juneteenth and commemorates the end of slavery in the United States.The celebration is presented in partnership with the Alamance Racial Equity Alliance, Impact Alamance, and the City of Burlington.
Event Highlights:
• Free and open to the public
• Community organizations, food vendors, and artisan vendors
• Family-friendly celebration of culture, unity, and freedom
• Youth art contest with a $100 prize for the winning design
NEW! A special showing of Black Panther will begin at 7:45 pm. Bring your chairs for a movie on the lawn.
Vendor Information:
Vendor applications are now open for community organizations, food vendors, and artisans selling handmade or locally made products. Third-party/direct sales vendors will not be accepted.
• Application deadline: Friday, May 29 at 5pm
• Vendor fee: $25 upon acceptance
• First consideration given to minority-owned businesses
Youth Art Contest:
Middle and high school students in Alamance County are invited to design the official logo for the 2026 Juneteenth Celebration.
• Artwork must represent Juneteenth themes such as freedom, unity, and culture
• Entries must be original artwork submitted as a .pdf or .png
• Submission deadline: Friday, May 29
• Winner receives featured artwork recognition and a $100 prize
