You are cordially invited to our 6th annual graduation ceremony, honoring residential program graduate candidate Michelle Martinez-Bates and celebrating other survivor program achievements.
When: Sunday October 13th, 3:00-4:00 pm, followed by a reception featuring sale of Thistle Lights' "Handmade Healing" products.

Keynote Speaker:
We are excited to announce that the keynote speaker for our graduation will be Dorris Walker-Taylor! Dorris is a graduate of Thistle Farms (the original Magdalene residential program in Nashville) where she continues to serve as Senior Ambassador. She also was an Executive Producer of the documentary, "Thistle," and authored the powerful autobiographical book Hope is Always Real. You can purchase her book at the Magdalene Omaha Community Center, at Thistle Lights sales - including following graduation! - and via our webstore (www.magdaleneomaha.org/shop). Dorris will be available to sign copies of her book at the reception following graduation. Please join us on October 13th to hear her inspirational message about the difference the Magdalene residential program means for survivors!
