Golf Tournament to benefit the Cultural CenterThe Cultural Center is pleased to announce their sixth Annual Charity Golf Tournament on Saturday, June 26 at Riverwood Golf Club in Port Charlotte.
The tournament will be a four-person best ball scramble format. Men’s, women’s and mixed teams are welcome to play. Individual players will be teamed up on tournament day. Check-in and continental breakfast begins at 7 a.m. and there will be a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. Entrance fees are $85 per player, and include green, cart and bag handling fees, continental breakfast, a fantastic lunch spread, two beverage tickets, a certificate for a reduced rate on a future round of golf and BOGO drink certificates for Riverwood Grill.
Prizes will be awarded for team placement and closest to the pin. Additionally, there are hole-in-one prizes on all par threes, one chance at $100,000 (compliments of CIA Carter Insurance). You’ll also have the opportunity to purchase mulligans, buy birdies, and move forward one tee for the chance to improve your team’s score!
All proceeds from the event will go directly to supporting the Cultural Center. The Cultural Center is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that receives no governmental funding toward operations. The Center began in 1961 with a goal of offering the members of our community enriching activities. With over 12,000 different happenings that go on every year, and a volunteer base of over 500 citizens, the Cultural Center is privileged to enrich the lives of many. Your support is integral to the continuation of the Center’s mission of positively affecting our area residents and visitors.
