What is 6POSH? The 6 Principals Of Sexual Health:
Consent.
Non-Exploitation.
Honesty.
Shared Values.
Protection.
Pleasure.
These principals provide a framework that expands the definition of sexual health and supports individual personal sovereignty and determination. Are you incorporating one or more principals in your sexual interactions? How healthy can your sexual interactions be without one or more of the six principals present?
First developed by Douglas Braun-Harvey MFT, CGP, for use in the California state foster care system (theharveyinstitute.com), the six principals of sexual health framework can make talking about sex and sexuality simpler and safer.
What to Expect:
Through games and exercises, this June, we will explore each of the 6 Principals Of Sexual Health, empowering you to become more mindful of your own sexual health!
For example, we will hear about the Wheel of Consent, developed by Betty Martin (wheelofconsent.org), and play the 3-minute Game, which can shed light on a deeper understanding of consent.
Each of the principals will be explored through experiential experiences shared in a supportive environment. Being sexually healthy is impossible without a willingness to communicate openly - please be prepared to explore communication without fear or shame. Men are strongly encouraged to attend this workshop.
How to Prepare:
Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing.
Bring a water bottle. There are some yoga mats and blankets available at the venue.
Optional: bring a journal for post-session reflections.
Arrive early to settle in and consider your intentions for the workshop.
