Rules and Format
1. This will be an USBC certified event. All participants must present their USBC Cards at check-in for verification, if you are not a current member of the USBC you can purchase an affiliate membership or pay a participation fee. Affiliate fee will be $23 ($15 for national dues, $8 for local dues) Participation fee is $5 2. All competition in this event will be on a INDIVIDUAL-SCRATCH BASIS, NO HANDICAP will be given and is open to all USBC Certified Adult members including WOMEN. NO CERTIFIED YOUTH MEMBERS ALLOWED 3. Entry fee for this event is $75. $40-Prize Fund (returned 100%), $27-lineage, $8-tournament expenses. All mailed entries must be postmarked by October 26th, 2024 to be included in the tournament. Electronic entries will be accepted up until 11:59pm October 29th, 2024, any entries after that time will be deemed a WALK IN entry and a Walk In fee will be charged. Walk-in entries will be accepted provided the field has not reached capacity, those entries will be accepted until 1PM on SATURDAY, November 2nd, 2024. Those who enter the tournament as a walk in will be charged a $10 late fee. NO RE-ENTRIES will be accepted or allowed. 4. All participants will bowl 6 games across 6 lanes on Saturday November 2nd, 2024 at either 8:30 am, 1:30 pm. Squads are considered full at 68 bowlers with 2 on a lane, you will have a choice of squad time as indicated on your entry blank, bowlers will be placed on squads by their choice of time and when the entry is postmarked. 5. After the qualifying rounds are complete a minimum of 32 (including the defending champion) will advance to Matchplay. If the defending champion is unable to compete in the event then his guaranteed matchplay spot will be added into the number of advancers. 6. Matchplay will begin on Sunday November 3rd, 2024 at 8:30 am. The qualifying bowlers advancing from Saturday PLUS THE DEFENDING CHAMPION will be paired into brackets for matchplay. Matches will consist of 3 games and the winner will be declared by total pins for those 3 games. If there is tie after 3 games a 9th and 10th frame roll-off will be conducted with the bowler who finished on the left lane starting off with his 9th frame on that lane, and the opposing bowler then bowling his 9th and 10th frame. This will continue until the tie is broken. Winners will advance to face other winners and losers will fall into the losers bracket to face other losers. Matchplay will continue on Sunday November 10th, 2024 at 8:30 am until you have 1 player with no losses in the winners bracket and 1 player with 1 loss in the losers bracket. 7. The Championship Match will be consist of the Winners bracket champion and the survivor from the Losers bracket. The match will be bowled on Service Electric Cable TV at appoximately 3pm. IF SECTV IS UNABLE TO BROADCAST DUE TO A CONFLICT, THE MATCHES WILL PROCEED AS IF ON TV ANYWAY. The two finalists will bowl 3 game matches until one bowler has sustained 2 losses. The person who has not sustained 2 losses will be the Champion and the loser will be the Runner-up. 8. All prizes will be paid upon completion of the event. Prizes will be paid on a minimum of at least 1 in 6 entries or better.
