Franky and Johnny's (of Calgary's legendary Rock Club of the same name) in collaboration with Jacklyn Sparrow Productions present....The Hippie Hoedown!
Join us at The Hippie Hideout in Springbank (SW Calgary...directions below) as we go back to the iconic Woodstock Festival held on Yasgar's Farm NY in 1969, and the unforgettable Classic Rock music scene of the 1970's. Get out your bell bottoms and boho Hippie tie dye, put some flowers in your hair and get ready for a groovy and rockin' festival style party featuring The Jacklyn Sparrow Band playing all the hits of the day (with Johnny Bitonti on drums!) Bring the kids so they can experience what it was like when things were so original and beautifully organic. Bring coolers with whatever you need to eat and drink so you'll have tons of energy to dance like a gypsy! There'll be food trucks as well for your convenience.
Set up your campsite in the afternoon in our free camping area, take a dip in the creek, and then you can move and groove to the rhythm of our world drummers.
The JS Band will be ready to rock at 6:00 with some very special guests who'll be making iconic appearances during the evening!
Eventbrite lists the end time as 10:30 but that's not the case. After the band we'll jam it out by the bonfire and we can party a little later into the night. And it's an overnighter for the campers.
This will be a unique one of a kind nostalgic happening remembering a magical time of freedom, self expression, peace, love and togetherness.

DIRECTIONS: The address is 240131 Discovery Ridge Blvd but our Hippie Hideout is hidden in the trees so please follow these old school 60's & 70's style directions so you don't get lost.
Take the 69 Street ramp off Stoney Trail and go to Discovery Ridge Blvd. Proceed down the hill to the end which is a cul de sac. Take the driveway in the center of the cul de sac onto a gravel road and take you first left over the private bridge. Follow the road to the intersection at 240131 and park as per the parking signs. There will be people to direct you to the overnight camping area or you can park and it's a short walk to Hippy Hideout. See you there!
