Curious about yoga but not sure where to start?
Join me for a gentle and welcoming journey into the world of yoga in this Yoga Basics class. Designed for those completely new to yoga or for those looking to refresh their practice, this class focuses on fundamental poses, breathing techniques and basic alignment principles. You’ll develop strength, flexibility and inner peace in a supportive environment with other like-minded people. Whether you’re brand new to yoga or returning after a break, this course will lay the foundation for a fulfilling yoga practice.
Over the 6 weeks you will:
Learn the key postures including standing, seated, forward bends, backbends and balances
Begin to develop an awareness of your body and how to find the best alignment for you in postures
Develop an understanding of the benefits of different postures and how they can help you to build strength in your body
Practice some basic breathing and meditation techniques that can help you to relax and manage stress
Mondays at 10.30
10th June to 22nd July (no class on 1st July)
