The Summer Photography Course has been a popular event for years and is perfect for anyone looking to improve their photography.

In 2026, the course will run for 6 weeks on Monday evenings from 8 PM to 10 PM.

It's a great opportunity to meet like-minded people, learn new skills through hands-on sessions and talks, and boost your confidence behind the camera.

Each week will include a blend of theory and hands-on practical sessions, with optional assignments to help you practice your skills.

Week 1: What Makes a Good Photo? / Getting to know your camera practical

Week 2: Photo Theory Basics / Practical experimenting with different settings

Week 3: Basic editing demo / Editing practical

Week 4: Short talks on Nature, People and Street photography / Portrait practical

Week 5: Short talks on Travel, Landscape and Mobile phone photography / Light painting session

Week 6: Ten minute tips / Review of students' favourite photos /About WDPS
