6 week Parent support group - Managing child anxiety (in person)

Join us for a 6-week parent support group focused on managing child anxiety. In this in-person group, we will provide a safe and supportive environment for parents to share experiences, gain knowledge, and learn practical strategies to help their children cope with anxiety.

This event will take place on Thursday afternoons for 6 weeks with a 2 week break over the Eater Holidays, 15:45 - 17:00, week commencing 7th March 2024 – 25th April 2024 at John Scott Health Centre.

Come and meet other parents and share your experiences in a safe space.

Dates of the group:

7th March, 14th March, 28th March, 18th April & 25th April 2024

(no group during Easter break on 4th April & 11th April)

During these sessions, we will cover various topics such as identifying anxiety triggers, effective communication techniques, and promoting emotional well-being. Our Education Mental Health Practitioners will guide discussions and provide valuable insights to empower parents in supporting their children's mental health.

Whether you are a parent seeking guidance or simply looking to connect with others who share similar experiences, this support group offers a nurturing space to learn, grow, and find comfort in a community of like-minded individuals.

This is open to all parents and carers of children (aged 5- 12 years old) attending Primary schools in the borough of City & Hackney.
