It’s that time again! We’re entering the next round and would like to warmly invite you to the 6th Contact Impro Festival in Leipzig. From October 15th to 19th, 2025 (Wednesday to Sunday), we’ll be meeting in the beautiful rooms of the Karl Schubert School Leipzig for five days of contact improvisation dancing.New this time: five days, and we’ll also be in the school’s new, large hall.
Offerings:
There will be two different “intensives” (three-day, consecutive CI workshops on a single topic). You can choose one of the two when registering. You can learn more about the intensives here.
Simultaneously, there will also be kid-friendly activities.
There will also be other exciting formats: CI classes with different focuses, talks and bodywork sessions, and of course, plenty of jams for free dancing.
All workshops and formats are open for all levels.
Team:
We are excited to once again form a diverse team of volunteers, teachers, and musicians, who, together with all participants, will contribute to the success of the festival with their individual contributions.
On-site:
In addition to the large new dance room, there is another medium-sized dance room, a chill-out space, a whisper room, a cozy tea kitchen, and the forest begins directly behind the school, perfect for walks. A Rewe supermarket, an Italian restaurant, and a fast food restaurant are located nearby.
Accommodation and meals are not provided by us and must be organized by the participants themselves.

Kids:
The event is family-friendly, meaning there will also be events and jams during the day, where kids are expressly welcome and will be considered and respected with all their abilities. Childcare is available if needed.
Understanding:
We also consider ourselves a queer*-friendly space, meaning that people of all gender identities and sexual orientations should feel safe enough to participate in this event.
Consent:
A consent team will be available on-site. Consent is important to us; please read the guidelines on our website.
Cost:
The price is between €135 and €280. Please assess your financial situation and donate as much as you can. We organize the event as a non-profit organization and try to compensate everyone as fairly as possible. The lowest price is for people who receive financial support.
