5ª Feria Universitaria Anual / 5th Annual College Fair

Sobre este evento GRATUITO:

La 5ª Feria Universitaria Anual de SHPE Detroit reúne a estudiantes y familias de la comunidad de Detroit, en colaboración con escuelas y organizaciones locales, para explorar oportunidades en la educación STEM (Ciencia, Tecnología, Ingeniería y Matemáticas) y acceder a recursos para navegar el proceso de solicitud de ingreso a la universidad. Este evento incluirá lo siguiente:

Mesas Informativas Educativas: Universidades locales estarán presentes para compartir información sobre oportunidades en educación STEM y trayectorias académicas.

Organizaciones Comunitarias: Representantes de SHPE Detroit, la Ford Hispanic Latino Network y otros socios comunitarios estarán disponibles para compartir recursos y apoyar a los miembros de la comunidad de Detroit.

Talleres Bilingües:

• Sesiones sobre FAFSA y asequibilidad universitaria para ayudar a estudiantes y familias a comprender las opciones de ayuda financiera.
• Sesiones introductorias sobre carreras en STEM.

Panel de ingeniería bilingüe: Profesionales de destacadas empresas de ingeniería compartirán información sobre los roles actuales en ingeniería y ofrecerán orientación a estudiantes interesados en carreras STEM.

Demostraciones STEM: Actividades prácticas de aprendizaje aplicado en STEM para estudiantes y jóvenes.

About this FREE Event:

The SHPE Detroit 5th Annual College Fair brings together students and families from the Detroit community, in partnership with local schools and organizations, to explore STEM education (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) opportunities and access resources to navigate the college application process. This event will include the following:

Educational Booths: Local universities will be on site to share information about STEM education opportunities and academic pathways.

Community Organizations: Representatives from SHPE Detroit, the Ford Hispanic Latino Network, and other community partners will be available to share resources and support members of the Detroit community.

Bilingual Workshops:

• FAFSA and college affordability sessions to help students and families understand financial aid options.
• STEM career introduction sessions.

Bilingual Engineering Panel: Industry professionals from leading engineering businesses will share insights on modern engineering roles and guidance to students pursuing STEM careers.

STEM Demonstrations: Applied STEM learning activities for students and young learners.
