Welcome to 5th Saturdays at the Two Way Street Coffee House! Saturdays are special! An extra Saturday in a month comes around only a few times a year, so we decided to commemorate each one with a special event. 5th Saturdays in 2026 occur in January, May, August and October.
For our May event, Two Way Street Coffee House, in partnership with the Plank Road Folk Music Society, is pleased to present two workshops with Lil Rev on May 30, 2026. Harmonica For the Complete Beginner will take place from 11am-1pm and Ukulele: Bluegrass Jam Tips and Techniques from 1:30-3pm.
This event will be in-person only. The admission price for each workshop is $25 per participant and will be limited to 25 in-person attendees.
The registration deadline is May 26, 2026.
Harmonica For the Complete Beginner
May 30, 2026 – 11am to 1pm
Join award-winning national harmonica champion, Lil Rev for an inspiring 90 minute workshop 11am-12:30 with Q & A after.

This fun class is for the complete beginner.

Lil Rev will have harmonicas to sell for $20 or bring your own Key of C 10 hole diatonic harmonica.
We'll cover all the basics needed to get you started including, how to hold it, lip position, breath work, puckering, single note studies, chords, simple folk songs, learning to make the train sound, tremolo, blues licks, position playing and much more for the complete beginner. Handouts provided.

Ukulele: Bluegrass Jam, Tips and Techniques
May 30, 2026– 1:30-3pm
Join Wisconsin Ukulele Master Lil Rev for a fun multi-level ukulele class geared towards teaching strumming uke students how to play bluegrass in the uke. We'll explore boom chuck strums, bluegrass repertoire, chord slides, simple easy fiddle tunes, accompaniment, banjo rolls for uke, and much more for all levels. Handouts provided.
