Teeming with imagination? Lacking a space to showcase the wonders of mind? Alright, buckle up as Notre Dame Art Club presents you with the 5th National Art Carnival 2026. Three vibrant days and witness the blast of imagination, culture and collaboration. Consisting of a myriad of on-spot competitions, workshops, and submission-based events ranging from traditional art to digital creations, this is the chance to showcase your unique artistic flair. Join us to be a part of this amazing journey and make unforgettable memories in a space brimming with color, passion, and inspiration!

â ON-SPOT SEGMENTS
đī¸April 16 (Thursday)
Wall Magazine and Craft Submission:
The first day is dedicated to receiving physical submissions for exhibition categories. If youâve worked hard on your wall magazine or craft piece, this is your moment to present it. Selected works will be displayed throughout the festival.
Rules:
âĸ Submissions must be SFW.
âĸ No offensive or inappropriate content will be accepted.
âĸ Participant details must be attached to the submission.
âĸ Works must be submitted within the announced time frame.
Origami Submission:
All the participants who are interested in participating in the Origami competition are requested to submit the origami on April 16 and 17. From the submitted origami, 50 participants will be selected for the live Origami competition on April 18.
đī¸April 17 (Friday)
1. Traditional Art
Deeply embedded in the heart of Bengali heritage, traditional paintings have remained as the strongest medium to highlight the essence of culture, history, and emotion.
Rules:
âĸ On-spot drawing competition.
âĸ The topic will be announced on the spot.
âĸ Paper will be provided.
âĸ Participants must bring their own supplies.
Time limit: 1 Hour.
2. Shora Art
Shora painting, a timeless folk tradition, enables the artistic souls to reconnect with their cultural roots through vibrant colors and meaningful motifs and create something truly special.
Rules:
âĸ Solo on-spot event.
âĸ A Shora will be provided.
âĸ Participants must bring their own paints and materials.
âĸ All works will be displayed in the exhibition and returned after the festival.
Time limit: 1 Hour
3. Jemon Khushi Temon Ako
Does art have an age limit? Definitely not. Well, this distinctive segment is here for our youngest artists to freely express their imagination with just pure fun and color.
Rules:
âĸ Solo event.
âĸ On-spot drawing competition.
âĸ Participants must bring their own supplies.
âĸ Only children from Playgroup to Class 2 are eligible.
âĸ On-spot registration available.
4. Origami Workshop
Sometimes, magic begins with a simple piece of paper. This interactive workshop will guide participants through the beauty, patience, and precision of origami.
Open to beginners and enthusiasts who want to learn and enjoy the art of paper folding.
5. Caricature
Find the magic in the middle of everything. In this expressive challenge, exaggerate features and personalities while still capturing the true essence of your subject.
Rules:
âĸ On-spot drawing competition.
âĸ A reference image/model will be provided.
âĸ Participants must bring their own supplies.
Time limit: 1 Hour.
6. Pictionary â Part 1
Fast hands, sharp minds, and great teamwork - the heat of Pictionar. Doodle creatively and let your team guess the concept before time runs out.
Rules:
âĸ Team event (3 members per team).
âĸ One member will draw a given word/concept.
âĸ No writing or verbal hints allowed.
âĸ Teammates must guess the concept from the drawing.
đī¸April 18 (Saturday)
1. T-Shirt Designing
Turn a simple white T-shirt into a statement piece. Combine fashion and creativity to create wearable art that speaks for you.
Rules:
âĸ A white T-shirt will be provided.
âĸ Participants must bring their own designing materials.
âĸ Digital devices are not allowed.
Time limit: 1 Hour.
2. Doodle Rush
Quick. Spontaneous. Creative. Doodle Rush challenges you to transform simple lines into meaningful art within a limited time.
Rules:
âĸ On-spot drawing competition.
âĸ Colors are not permitted.
âĸ Participants must bring their own supplies.
Time Limit: 30 Minutes
3. Movie Quiz
Illumination in motion - The spark, the sight, the story.
From classic cinema to modern pop culture, test your knowledge and compete with fellow movie lovers in this exciting quiz segment.
4. Origami Competition
Now itâs time to put your folding skills to the test. Precision, patience, and creativity will define the winners. Only the selected 50 participants are eligible for this round.
Rules:
âĸ On-spot competition.
âĸ Paper will be provided. Participants must not bring or use their own papers.
âĸ Scissors, glue or any other tools are strictly prohibited.
âĸ Participants must complete assigned folds within the given time.
Time limit: 30 Minutes
5. Tag In
Two artists. One paper. Endless creativity.
In this collaborative event, you and your partner will build on each otherâs imagination, switching every 5 minutes to create a unified artwork.
Rules:
âĸ Team event (2 members per team).
âĸ Participants must bring their own supplies.
âĸ Teams must switch every 5 minutes.
Time Limit: 1 Hour.
6. Pictionary â Final Round
The ultimate drawing showdown marks the return of the best teams from Part 1 battle it out in the final round.
7. Prize Giving Ceremony & Cultural Event
The three-day journey comes to an end with celebration and recognition.
